The literary contribution of Anna Brigadere, one of the most famous Latvian writers, a bright playwright and a poet, can be felt throughout the territory of the park. Therefore, the traditional part of the park is named the land of Sprīdītis – the main character of Anna Brigadere’s fairy tale “The Tale of Sprīdītis”. Here you will find the wooden sculptures depicting the fairy-tale characters from the works written by the writer Anna Brigadere: Sprīdītis and the giant Lutausis, the Forest King and his court, little Annele with her friends, as well as “alive” fairy-tale characters. If you want to take a great photo from Tērvete, you know – Lutausis and Sprīdītis can be found on the left bank of the Tērvete River, up the stairs from the Amusement Square.
